O God our source of love and grace, we are gathered now as your people. Sheltered here briefly from the busy-ness of our daily lives; we wait in silence. In that quiet space O God, help us open our hearts to our innermost longings, to reach a deep awareness of our blessings and our needs.

The tune, FESTAL SONG, was composed in 1872, by New York City organist William Henry Walter, incorrectly named in Voices United as William Walker.
