Tweens 2014 Video - God and Stuff

The Children’s Church takes place each Sunday during regular worship. The children participate in the first part of the main worship service, which includes a special children’s time, and then they go to their classes with their teachers. There is also nursery care provided in a room just off the narthex for children under 3 years.

We have classes at four divisions, each led by a separate teacher:

  • PreK to SK (3-5 yrs.)
  • Grades 1 to 3 (6-8 yrs.)
  • Grades 4 to 6 (9-11 ys.)
  • Grades 7+ (12 yrs. and up)

Our teachers follow a United Church curriculum called Seasons of the Spirit. Information about this resource can be found at: www.seasonsonline.ca.

TSP Tweens

TSP Tweens is a church school program aimed at youth aged nine to 12 years run out of Trinity St. Paul’s United Church (TSP) in Toronto.

The goal of the program is to deepen and explore Christian discipleship in everyday life with a group of kids who are a little too old for the regular church school programming, yet are not quite there yet to meet the challenges of Youth on Bloor, a collaborative program for United Church teens.

From games to making movies to baking and our annual camping trip in June, this new group is led as much by the participants as it is by its leaders. Some of what we do might not seem like “normal” church school. It’s a safe space to explore ideas and questions about God, faith, and community, considering what it means to be part of a congregation in the 21st century.
