The Toronto Tango Community Orchestra is a fun and free monthly live tango music event organized by Solidaridad Tango. We hope to create a welcoming space for participants to learn how to play and listen to traditional tango music. 
 
What: An open community orchestra learning to play traditional tango music. No audition required. Violin, viola, cello, flute, piano, double bass, accordion, or bandoneón preferred.
When: 8-10 PM on the last Thursday of the month from January to May
Where: The Fireside Room, Trinity St. Paul’s United Church
What to bring: Your instrument, music, a music stand… and your passion for tango!

Delve into the beautyand emotion of Franz Schubert’s Winterreise, performed by the TorontoMendelssohn Singers, renowned Canadian baritone Brett Polegato, and JunoAward-winning pianist Philip Chiu. Presented in a new adaptation for choir,baritone, and piano, this stunning vocal masterpiece recounts the story of awanderer’s heartbreak and despair as they travel through a frozen world. Theconcert also features works by Fanny Hensel, one of the first published femalecomposers, and Clara Schumann, widely regarded as one of the most significantcomposers and pianists of the Romantic era. Under the direction of Jean-SébastienVallée, the TMSingers bring their signature artistry to some of the mostbeautiful pages of vocal repertoire.

To make this concert a real extravaganza, our conductor Mr. Leo Li, Choral Canada Board of Director, Toronto, who has conducted our numerous choral shows and events ever since 2020, worked out an amazing repertoire incorporating choral works from even more languages and cultures including Japanese, Ojibway, Italian, Indian, English, Mandarin/Cantonese etc. We will sing in your language!
