What's new in the life of the church
Join Trinity St Paul’s United Church on September 23rd for a Naming Ceremony in recognition of the United Church’s $100,000 donation to the new Anishnawbe Health Center (that will be built near the Distillery District) and an endowment fund established at the United Church Foundation in support of the Center. A medicine person will be conducting a pipe ceremony to identify a name for the Endowment Fund and for our growing partnership with Toronto’s indigenous community. Our schedule is as follows:
- 10:30 am: Church service with Dr. Colin Phillips
- 11:30 am: Coffee and Introduction to James Carpenter
- noon: Smudging participants as welcome to pipe ceremony in sanctuary
- 12:20: Pipe Ceremony
- 12:50: Round dance with AHT in the sanctuary
- 1:00 pm: Feast in the gym
Also, there will be… bannock-making?!
